During a school trip to an exhibition on Salvador Dalí, Lia mysteriously disappears. When she is found shortly afterward, she explains her delay by recounting an adventure outside of time and space, turning ordinary moments into surreal situations: melting clocks that make her lose track of time, sofas that reveal themselves to be towering elephants carrying her above the clouds, optical illusions that turn into traps, and a giant drawer in which even Dalí himself is hiding—or perhaps just a museum attendant who looks remarkably like him.

As the teacher tries to bring Lia back down to earth, it is the mysterious attendant who defends the girl, insisting that every word of her story is true.
